Old Istanbul. The Spice Market. Riotous colour and tumultuous sound swelling into the ancient stone archways. Visitors and locals together cramming the stalls in search of unlikely bargains. Outside, in the flower market, scraggly blossoms accenting cages of captive creatures. Jars of squiggling leeches still used by folk healers shock the unaccustomed. The New Mosque adjacent, overlooking great flocks of pigeons, food vendors, tourists, and the faithful.

Amidst it all, two friends chatting on a bench, which they share, seemingly unaware, with a cat. Two friends, relaxed, sharing their inner thoughts. One cat, observing. One cat, awake.
